Es wird eine Vorichtung zur Messung von Aerosolen und in Luft verteiltem Staub beschrieben, bei der das durch das zu messende Medium erzeugte Streulicht mittels eines transparenten fluoreszierenden Streulichtkollektors (14) erfaßt wird. Zur Konzentration des im Streulichtkollektor (14) erzeugten Fluoreszenzlichtes wird die Lichtleitereigenschaft des Streulichtkollektors (14) ausgenutzt. Das am Lichtaustrittsbereich (26) des Kollektors konzentrierte Fluoreszenzlicht wird mittels Photoempfängern (24) detektiert. A description is given of a device for measuring aerosols and airborne dust, in which the scattered light produced by the medium to be measured is picked up by means of a transparent fluorescent scatter-light collector (14). To concentrate the fluorescent light produced in the scatter-light collector (14) the optical guiding properties of the scatter-light collector (14) are exploited. The concentrated fluorescent light at the light exit region (26) of the collector is detected by means of photo receivers (24).
