METHOD OF PREPARING NUCLEOTIDE PROBES USING A HYBRIDIZABLE COMPLEMENTARY ELEMENT

The present invention provides a method of producing a nucleotide probe by hybridizing a recognition portion and a labeled signal portion to a bridging complement. The portions are then ligated and, if desired, the complement is removed.
