Summary: | The invention relates to a process for reducing the NOx content in flue gas in the heating of rich gas or verbund coke ovens with heating walls made up of twin flues, with single or multiple stage combustion in the twin flues and with regenerators for the recovery of flue gas heat and for preheating the undergrate firing media. It is envisaged that flue gas drawn off from the flue gas duct is mixed in with the undergrate firing media, gas and/or air, before or during entry into the oven and, in addition, that a flue gas recirculation takes place within the twin flues. |
