Summary: | A thermal printing system has a platen (1), a pair of pinch rollers (3,4) one end of each of which is rotably supported by each one of a pair of pinch roller levers (15,16) and is resiliently biased by a spring (17) so that each pinch roller can be brought into tight contact with aforesaid platen. An attached paper stock holding casette case (5) has a paper feed roller (6) to feed paper stock onto the platen for printing. The peripheral speed of the platen is set higher than that of the paper feed roller. The feed roller is thus utilised as a kind of brake for imparting tension to the sheet of paper being fed in order to prevent crumpling of the paper and misplacement of the printing on it. |
