COATING RESIN AND ITS USE IN POWDER COATING
The coating resin comprises a modified high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE) and is characterised by a) a content of 0.1-1 mol-% of copolymerised unsaturated carboxylic acids, based on the total number of mols of all monomers, and/or the corresponding content of carboxylic anhydrides, b) a degree of neu...

Summary: | The coating resin comprises a modified high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE) and is characterised by
a) a content of 0.1-1 mol-% of copolymerised unsaturated carboxylic acids, based on the total number of mols of all monomers, and/or the corresponding content of carboxylic anhydrides,
b) a degree of neutralisation of the carboxyl groups, which may also be derived from anhydride groups, of from 0 to below 50%,
c) a termonomer content of from 0 to 5 mol-% based on the total number of mols of all monomers,
d) a melt flow index of 20-200 g/10 minutes (190 DEG C; 2.15 kp) and
e) a particle size of 1-600 mu m,
and is used in a process for powder coating. |
