The apparatus comprises a cooling/heating unit activated by temperature sensors and an apparatus adjusting the humidity. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the apparatus is designed as a movable container which is provided with a sealable door (4) and is gas-tight in the closed position of the door (4). The container housing (1) is provided with an air separator unit - preferably with a burner unit (19) -, a unit for carbon dioxide extraction (17) with a pressure compensator (15), and a carbon dioxide content sensor (29), an oxygen sensor (30) and a humidity sensor (31), and in addition a temperature control unit (32) regulating the function of the units (19, 17, 15) on the basis of the signals from the sensors, and a gas composition control unit (33).
