Summary:A ceiling fixture comprises a body part 15 for attachement to the ceiling, and a slide part 24 for engagement therewith. Electrical terminals 4, 5, 6 are retained within the body part 15 by means of a protective shroud 14 secured to a base plate 11 between the body 15 and the ceiling, and projecting through an aperture 28 in the body part 15. Wiper contacts 18, 19, 20 secured to the slide part 24 can engage the corresponding terminals within the shroud 14 via slots 27 which are sufficiently narrow as to prevent accidental manual contact with the electrical terminals 4, 5, 6, when the shroud 14 is exposed by removal of the slide part 24.
