Summary: | A jet ventilation (20) is used while the pressure wave form is detected in the patient's respiratory canals, namely for instance in the trachea or in the big bronchia. The apparatus variables, particularly the number of cycles per minute and the ratio of the jet closing and feeding periods, are continuously varied until said pressure wave form takes up the following shape: a steep front, then a maximum formed by a short substantially plane indented portion and finally a slow upward concave descent. |
