Summary:A pressure generating device for use in injection moulding at a high pressure or normal pressure where the pressure generating device is attached to the mould, the platens, the tie bars or other suitable parts of the injection moulding machine which device operates separately from the normal pressure generating mechanism and acts on the content of the mould cavity only, said device comprising a pressure generating part, e.g. a hydraulic cylinder (1) connected with a plunger (2) which can bring the pressure inside the cavity to the desired level during an injection cycle and a non-return flow valve (3) or any other element closing the mold cavity from the injection side, and the use of said device in injection moulding at high pressure or normal pressure.
