Summary:The invention relates to an improved access to the bearing of a wind turbine rotor blade. A rotor 1 of a wind turbine, comprises a rotor blade 2a, 2b and a hub 3, whereby the rotor blade 2a, 2b comprises a root end 4 and the root end 4 is attached to a rotor blade bearing 5, and the rotor blade bearing 5 is attached to the hub 3. The rotor blade 2 comprises a root section 6, adjacent to the root end 4, comprising the outer surface of the rotor blade 2a, 2b. The root section 6 of the rotor blade 2a, 2b is covered by a housing 7. The housing 7 comprises a wall section 8 that leads at least partially circumferentially around the root section 6 of the rotor blade 2a, 2b. The housing 7 comprises a cover section 9 to at least partially close the gap between the wall section 8 of the housing 7 and the rotor blade 2a, 2b.
