The invention relates to a building automation and building information system (2) having a central unit, at least one control unit (32) and first components (12). The central unit, which is connected to the at least one control unit (32) via a bidirectional data line (38), has means for reception of data from the at least one control unit (32) and means for open-loop and/or closed-loop control of the at least one control unit (32). Each control unit (32) has at least one associated first component (12), to which the control unit (32) is connected by radio (26), and the control unit (32) has means for open-loop and/or closed-loop radio control of the associated first components (12). The first components (12) which are associated with each control unit (32) can be connected to one another by radio. The central unit, the at least one control unit (32) and the first components (12) have a plug-and-play capability.
