Summary:A polymerizable composition particularly for dental use, comprises at least one methacrylate monomer having 2 to 4 polymerizable double bonds, from 0 to 400% based on the monomer of inorganic particulate filler, from 0 to 5% based on the monomer or silane coupling agent, an effective catalyst-activating amount of accelerator comprising copper ion and from 0.5 to 5.0% based on the monomer of (a) an organic peroxy compound and (b) reducing agent for said peroxy compound or a mixture of (a) and (b) wherein the concentration of (b) does not exceed 40% of the total quantity of (a) and (b).
