Summary: | DNA compounds which encode the riboflavin synthetase of S. cerevisiae and which contain a sequence activating the transcription and translation required for controlling the expression of this synthetase in S. cerevisiae, and control sequences of the gene coding for the riboflavin synthetase are described. The gene of the riboflavin synthetase of S. cerevisiae can be isolated from the plasmid pJR235 according to the invention. The resulting DNA compounds can be used to construct expression vectors which control the expression of the riboflavin synthetase in recombinant host cells, and can be used for improving the vitamin B2 yield in organisms which produce this vitamin. |
