Summary:The target 1 is intended in particular for military firing practices and is distinguished by being made of a polyethylene mixture. The mixture is preferably composed of HDPE and LDPE, there being 80% of HDPE and 20% of LDPE. Compared with conventional targets of multi-layered plywood, this target 1 allows much higher numbers of shots. This is due to the fact that the shot passage 10 has an exit opening which is much reduced in comparison with the entry opening (which corresponds to the projectile calibre K) and in some cases is even fully closed again.
