Summary:2.1 The transporter in question is characterised in its field as a towing vehicle. It is therefore provided with a raisable and extendable platform so that a passenger vehicle can be moved up onto it or down onto it. 2.2 In order to eliminate distortion of the auxiliary frame (13) when it is stressed on one side, the longitudinal profile members of the platform (11) are guided exclusively longitudinally displaceably on the longitudinal spars of the auxiliary frame (13) and are secured in a positively locking manner against any displacement transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis because the longitudinal profile members of the platform (11) consist of profiles with a high section modulus with respect to the two bending axes. The longitudinal profile members of the platform (11) can be double-T profile members (25, 16), circular tubes (33, 15, 16) or even closed or open triangular profiles (34). 2.3 The transporter is suitable for towing away passenger vehicles damaged in accidents or even for transporting a plurality of passenger vehicles.
