Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage material to produce a lithographic printing plate of high sensitivity by a dry process in a simple method. SOLUTION: This photothermographic material contains an element which can be addressed by light and can be thermally developed on a support. This element contains an org. heavy metal salt which is substantially non- photosensitive, a photosensitive silver halide which is catalytically associated with the substantially non-photosensitive org. heavy metal salt, and an agent reducing the substantially non-photosensitive org. heavy metal salt, and a binder. Further, the photothermographic material has an outermost layer having two phases on the same surface of the support where the thermally developable element exists. At least one phase of the two phases is a dispersion phase of thermoplastic particles. The two phases show different affinities from each other for one printing liquid selected from a group of ink and adhesive liquids to the ink.
