The microprocessor memory is loaded with route details, aircraft loading and speed, wind speed and direction parameters etc. During the flight the display screen shows at least a pair of points on the route which include the last point passed and the next point on the route, together with the route segment connecting these two points as well as data necessary to control the navigation of the aircraft between these two points.
