Summary: | The flexible pipe consists of a length of sealed flexible tubing and a coaxial reinforcing tube comprising an intertwined straight mesh (41,42) wound in a helix about the piping axis. Each mesh comprises several metal wires (6) assembled together. The reinforcing tube is assembled relative to the flexible sealed piping so as to provide freedom of radial displacement relative to the piping. Metal strips (71), distinct from the wires of the mesh, which substitute for one part of the straight mesh, are wound individually around the piping axis and intermesh and plait with the mesh. The mesh has the same width and thickness as the metal strips. The number of plaited metal strips is less than the number of plaited meshes in the tube. |
