Summary:Clutch release bearing of the type comprising a rolling bearing (1) with an inner and an outer ring, one of the rings (6) being constructed so as to come into permanent contact with a clutch member; a guide sleeve (12) having a radial flange (13) relative to which the rolling bearing (1) can move radially, the guide sleeve being able to slide axially relative to a guide tube under the action of an actuating member (17) having finger ends (18) coming into contact with a surface of a metal bearing plate (15) connected to the radial flange (13) of the guide sleeve, the clutch release bearing being characterised in that it also comprises contact pads (19) that are capable of receiving the finger ends (18) of the actuating member and are interposed between said finger ends and the surface of the metal bearing plate of the radial flange. In this way, the pads (19) can slide on the bearing plate (15) during clutch releasing movements. The wear of parts in contact is reduced, as is also the transmission of noise and vibrations.
