Summary: | The barrel is made of metal with a shell (10) in whose end portions essentially flat barrel heads (12) are welded. A laser fillet weld (14) enters into the material of the shell and the barrel head from the inside of the angle formed by the shell and the barrel head. At the top end, the shell has a rolled up turned over edge (16). Both the shell and the upper barrel head have arch shaped indented beads (18,20) at a relatively short distance from the laser fillet weld. The bead in the barrel head runs parallel to the edge and the fillet weld. The bead in the shell is parallel to the fillet weld around the outside of the shell. |
