Formaldehyde-free aminoplastics

Aminoplastics (I) are obtd. by the polycondensation of cpds. contg. amide gps. (II) with glutaraldehyde (III) in aq. soln. Also claimed is a process for the prodn. of (I) by reacting 1 mole cpd. (II) with 0.5-3 moles (III) in a 10-90% aq. soln. for 5 mins. to 3 hrs. at 20-90 deg C and pH 3-10.
