This acts against the force, which is generated by the valve spring (16) during the intake stroke of the feed piston (3). The devices consist of a friction element (54). This is located between the closure member and a part (51), which does not move with the piston. Alternately, the device may be formed by a flow-impeding body, or an inertia body, either connected to the closure member. he mass of the inertia body is adjusted to the RPM of a motor driving the pump.
