Summary:The sealing lip of a multi-layer constructed micro-valve is profiled in the direction perpendicular to the fuel flow, in order to cause atomization of the fuel prior to injection into motor vehicle engine. The atomising structure (91) is formed at right angles to the direction of flow of the fuel, through the seal (31a, 41a). The fuel stream is broken up by turbulence and atomised with the aid of a stream of air.
