Rotary anode type X=ray tube

The X-ray tube has a rotating arrangement (1) as one component and another component (14) which is fixed relative to the first. The rotating component (1) has a contact surface (K1) which is held in sliding contact with a contact surface (K2) of the fixed component (14) by an axially directed force...

Summary:The X-ray tube has a rotating arrangement (1) as one component and another component (14) which is fixed relative to the first. The rotating component (1) has a contact surface (K1) which is held in sliding contact with a contact surface (K2) of the fixed component (14) by an axially directed force (F). Where the rotating component (1) is positioned on the fixed component (14), an anode current passes through. One contact surface is smaller than the other. The hardness of the component (18) with the smaller contact surface (K1), in the region of the contact surface (K1), is less than the hardness of the component (14, 17, 19) with the larger contact surface (K2) in the region of that contact surface (K2).
