Summary:An electrical connector comprises a main body and a separate electrical component holding element, which body and element meet on an intermediate surface. The connector contacts are positioned in grooves which end in enlarged surfaces or regions for the accommodation of connections of an electrical component, such as a transformer for example. The component extends to the rear from the intermediate surface and is held in an opening in the holding element, and the holding element is moved into a push fit on the rear side of the main body part for removable holding of the component in its place and for alignment of the component with corresponding contacts on the connector.
