PURPOSE: To arrange a spindle arresting device on the outside of a machine housing and to resolve a seal problem with a simple structure by arranging a spindle-side locking element externally on a clamping flange, and arranging a housing-side locking element on a rotatable hand lever respectively. CONSTITUTION: A rotary tool 18 is fitted to the work spindle 13 of a machine housing 10 by a clamping device 17, and the work spindle 13 is fixed by a spindle arresting device 25. The clamping device 17 is provided with a clamping flange 19 held by the projection 131 of the work spindle 13 and a clamping nut 20 screwed to the thread ridge 21 of the projection 131. The spindle arresting device 25 is provided with multiple locking elements 26, 27 lockable together. The spindle-side locking element 27 is formed externally on the clamping flange 19, and the housing-side locking element 26 is arranged on a hand lever 29. The hand lever 29 is supported on the machine housing 10 to be capable of swiveling about a swiveling axis 30.
