Summary: | The invention relates to a grille for securing building openings, for example window openings, lightshafts or the like, in particular in penal institutions, having grille bars arranged at lateral intervals from one another and transverse grille bars running perpendicularly to said first grille bars. In order to achieve impact resistance and resistance to tools, it is provided that at least the grille bars exhibit a core which consists of a hardened metallic material and is enclosed by a tube of impact-resistant metallic material, the tube being welded to the transverse grille bars at the points where the grille bars and transverse grille bars are connected. |
