Pulse generator for one-shot timer - uses comparison of generated threshold voltage and reference voltage to control logic circuit providing output pulse signal

The pulse generator has a threshold voltage generating device (C1,R1) providing a threshold voltage (Voh) dependent on a time constant and fed to a comparator (10) for comparison with a reference voltage (Vref), to control an AND-gate (11), providing the output pulse signal (Tout). The latter is inv...

Summary:The pulse generator has a threshold voltage generating device (C1,R1) providing a threshold voltage (Voh) dependent on a time constant and fed to a comparator (10) for comparison with a reference voltage (Vref), to control an AND-gate (11), providing the output pulse signal (Tout). The latter is inverted via a inverter (14) and combined with a trigger signal (Vtri) via a second AND-gate (12) supplying the second input of the first AND-gate. The output of the second AND-gate is inverted via a second inverter (13) and supplied to a level reduction device for synchronised reduction of the threshold voltage to earth potential. USE - Providing output pulse signal of defined pulse width under control of trigger input signal of different width.
