Summary:Drum-type washing machine, the laundry drum (2) of which is arranged rotatably in a tub (1), with a run-off system which is connected to the tub (1) and which consists of a tub outlet orifice (3), of a lye pump (5) and of a run-off hose (6) connected to the lye-pump delivery connection, there being arranged in the outlet orifice (3) a valve device (8) which closes the latter during the operation of flushing in the washing agent and which is held in the closing position by the hydrostatic water pressure in the run-off hose. In order to eliminate the so-called snorkel noises occurring in the waste-water system of the washing machine after the pumping empty of the tub, a resistor (9) acting in the backflow direction of the lye is arranged in the run-off hose (6).
