Summary: | The regulation system uses a digital position measuring system for continuous monitoring of the pointed material position relative to a reference point and a digital velocity indicator, monitoring the transport rate of the printed material, or the operating rate of the printing machine. The data provided by the position measuring system and the velocity indicator is fed to a processor providing output signals for the setting elements controlling the machine function. The working memory of the processor is initialised with a list using printing machine data held in a read-only memory, updated in dependence on the detected operating data, the updated list used to control the subsequent operating cycle. ADVANTAGE - Eliminates dead-time and delay in high-speed printing machine. |
