Summary: | The arrangement seals a cut-off disk in a profile frame, partic. of a shower cut-off, with a hollow hose sealing strip of elastic material for insertion in a back-cut groove fromed in the profile frame. The sealing strip on insertion has a cross-sectional dia. which is smaller than entry width to facilitate the insertion in the groove. After insertion, the strip expands and completely fills out the groove. The inner wall of the hose (5a) has an adhesive surface and when the hose (5) is pressed together, opposite inner surfaces adhere to one another. This adhesion ends through the elastic forces of the hose after a specific time, the hose relaxes and fills out the groove. USE/ADVANTAGE - A seal for a shower cut-off disk which is easy to fit, provides a long life seal and leads to no odour loads. |
