Summary:Disinfectants which are effective against unpackaged, hydrophilic and weakly lipophilic viruses contain in an aqueous, or preferably alcoholic, solution between 0.1-1 wt % (0.2-0.6 wt %) of basic or acidically hydrolysing salts of strong inorganic acids or weak organic acids, preferably chlorides, nitrates or sulphates of silver- or zinc anions or lactates. For the solutions, preference is given to 50-80 wt % low molecular weight aliphatic alcohols, preferably mixtures of ethanol and isopropanol in the ratio by weight of between 8:1 and 1:1
