Summary: | The doffer system for a ring spinner has an additional motor (2) for the bobbin sleeve change mechanism, which is operated during the main bobbin winding time. Also claimed is a control sequence for the bobbin sleeve exchange mechanism where the doffer beam is brought into a waiting position during bobbin winding, near the spinning point, through the current supply to the motor (2) through the auxiliary frequency converter (5). When the main motor (1) is stopped, at the end of bobbin winding, the bobbin sleeve exchange motor (2) is supplied by the main frequency converter (4) to remove the fully-wound bobbin from the spindle and lower the doffer beam to the level of the bobbin conveyor for bobbin transfer. The empty sleeve is taken from th bobbin conveyor, and the doffer beam is raised to the level of the spinning station and the sleeve is placed on the spindle. At the end of the bobbin change time, the main motor (1) supply is restored from the main frequency converter (4) and the current supply from the auxiliary frequency converter (5) operates the motor (2) to withdraw the doffer beam as bobbin winding resumes, to bring it to the start position near the bobbin conveyor. USE/ADVANTAGE - For bobbin changes at a ring spinner. Part of the doffing action is executed during the bobbin winding time, to present the mechanism in a ready position, so that the spinner is at rest only during the time that the full bobbin is removed and the empty sleeve positioned, allowing the spinner to operate while the doffer is brought into and out of the doffing zone. |
