Summary:Each steerable wheel (RR,RL) is fitted with a sensor (IR, IL) which generates pulses at a frequency dependent on the wheel speed. The pulses are passed through a module which reduces the rate by a programmed factor to ensure that the processor operates at an optimum rate for accuracy. The reduction is via programmable frequency dividers (2R,2L). The processor (4) computes control signals which indicate vehicle speed, wheel blocking, cornering rates and road contours. ADVANTAGE - Accurate processing over speed range of vehicle.
