Summary:In the course of time, the operation of modern devices for entertainment electronics has become more and more difficult for the user, especially since many new device functions have been added compared with previous devices. Voice-controlled devices for entertainment electronics are also known, in which individual device functions can be controlled by acoustic input of command words, by means of a microprocessor and a voice analyser connected to it. To increase further the operational reliability and avoid device control errors if possible, a first microprocessor is arranged in the new device, which microprocessor carries out a logic operation on acoustically entered command words and function commands entered via a key or alphanumeric keyboard during a learning process. In the subsequent operating phase, the voice command is analysed and, when a voice command is recognised, the first microprocessor supplies the associated function command to a second microprocessor which controls the various device functions. A wide field of applications is given for the new voice-controlled device, in which context task-specific matching of the two microprocessors can be effected by applying the principle of distributed control.
