Through-flow calibration for compressed oil damper - is used with turbine and has housing with roller bearing, outer rings, and seals

The through-flow calibration in a compression oil damper is for a bearing on a fast-rotating shaft (1), esp. the rotor-shaft of a gas turbine. The shaft (1) is float-mounted in a bearing housing (6) by means of a roller-bearing with an outer ring(4). seals (5) line the damping-gap (7). An oil-inlet...

Summary:The through-flow calibration in a compression oil damper is for a bearing on a fast-rotating shaft (1), esp. the rotor-shaft of a gas turbine. The shaft (1) is float-mounted in a bearing housing (6) by means of a roller-bearing with an outer ring(4). seals (5) line the damping-gap (7). An oil-inlet (8) to the damping-gap (7) and a throttled oil outlet form the damping-gap (7). The seals comprise slit-rings the slits (9) of which are calibrated axially. USE/ADVANTAGE - The through-flow calibration of the turbine shaft damper requires no separate components for throttling.
