Summary: | The suspended ceiling (10) is attached to the structural ceiling (14) by hangers (12) which support U-section rails (16). These U-section rails (16) support transverse U-section rails (17) to which the support panels (19) are attached. These support panels are made from plasterboard and are covered with a layer of plaster (20). A system of pipes (22) is embedded in the plaster (20) and a heating or cooling medium is circulated through the pipes. The plaster forming the layer (20) has a high thermal conductivity and its surface is a good reflector of light. The plasterboard panels a are acoustically absorbent.
