Summary: | The information control system for discs has a head for the writing or reading of data (31), a controller to generate positioned information for the head, a flipflop (23) to generate an interrupt to the controller when the head is in position, a buffer memory (16) to store the data and a control unit to read the information from the disc. Information from a specific track is entered into the buffer and is read when the controller generates a specific command. The track has marker signals to provide a synchronised mode of operation and the transfer from the buffer takes place at a rate higher than the disc access rate. ADVANTAGE - Has information handling system to increase throughput. |
