Summary:The protective jacket is mechanically placed round a book, fitted over the covers, while these are swung away from the block and the edges folded over. A residue-free adhesive is applied to the inner surfaces of the protruding sections of the jacket, which are secured to the cover, with the book then shut. The adhesive is pref. applied in strips and pref. in two or three sections. ADVANTAGE - Tight fitting round the book without any deformation.
