Summary:The invention concerns the use of complexing agents to dissolve calcium phosphate precipitates (galactite), characterized in that polymethylenecarboxylic acids, polymethylenephosphonic acids or alkali metal salts thereof are used as complexing agents which, in an aqueous solution containing 0.1-2 % by wt. of sodium hydroxide and 0.1-2 % by wt. of complexing agent, completely dissolve 100-500 mg of galactite in less than 15 min at a temperature of 40-80 DEG C.
