Summary:The shadow photograph of an object (8) is formed on a wall (9) with the aid of a point source of light. The wall (9) has a reflective surface to enable an image (11) of the shadow (10) to be formed by a lens (7). To ensure a sharp outline of the shadows (10) it is necessary to use a point source of light. This is achieved by using a lens system (4) which focusses light from a source (2) on to a mirror (5) which reflects the light onto the object (8). USE - Shadow photography.
