Locking catch for pneumatic door closing mechanism - releasing catch by door opening pressure line of piston-cylinder unit

The door is operated by a pnuematic servo cylinder (4) via a solenoid controlled valve (11). This connects each side of the door cylinder piston alternately to a pressure line or to a vent connection (34). The securing catch (27) for the is operated by a cylinder (26) with integral spring and via a...

Summary:The door is operated by a pnuematic servo cylinder (4) via a solenoid controlled valve (11). This connects each side of the door cylinder piston alternately to a pressure line or to a vent connection (34). The securing catch (27) for the is operated by a cylinder (26) with integral spring and via a second solenoid valve (20). The valve opens the lock when the door is opened. The door lock operating solenoid has a mechanical operating plunger (28), which is driven by the door clsoing, to operate the catch once the door is closed. The release of the catch is synchronous with the door opening servo signal. ADVANTAGE - No risk of door catch being broken through door opening drive; fail-safe door securing catch.
