Summary:A seal for a heat exchanger plate is laid into a sealing groove of the plate, the groove extending around the heat exchanger surface, in order to seal the intermediate space between that plate and an adjacent plate when the plates are tightened together. The seal comprises resilient strips preferably of rubber, and the seal ends (10, 10a) are formed with overlapping and sealing shaped parts. Thus the same seal can be used for different shapes and sizes of plate.
