Summary:In order that a correct operating sequence is ensured in domestic appliances which carry water, their feed must be monitored. Appliances without such devices can be heated dry in an irregular manner. In the case of the solution according to the invention, the water feed is controlled in terms of flow and time. When the water cock is closed, the operating programme does not run. A magnetic float (R) located in the input of the feed vessel closes a magnetic switching-on contact (b62) when water is flowing in. Said contact applies voltage to a timer motor (m3). After a predetermined time has elapsed, the switching-off contact (3b3) opens (m3), the solenoid valve (MV) closes and a precisely measured quantity of water is present in the appliance tank as a result of the constant feed rate. If no water flows, (R) cannot operate its (b62). If the heater (r) becomes dry, (f10) interrupts the heating circuit and applies the voltage to (m3) which, for its part, additionally and permanently disconnects the heater (r) via (1b3). In addition to use in domestic dishwashers, use in an equivalent manner for domestic washing machines is possible.
