Summary: | A fuel injection pump particularly for self-igniting internal combustion engines with a nozzle housing is installed in an engine case. That part of the injection nozzle which protrudes beyond the engine case is surrounded by a protective cap in order to protect it against surface corrosion. The protective cap consists of two parts which are held together by a releasable connection. To carry out checks or work on the injection nozzle, the connection can be opened in a simple manner so that the injection nozzle is easily accessible. |
