Summary:A main lever (28) and a starting lever (29) cooperate as a control lever system, and a control sleeve (13), which determines the quantity to be injected, is displaceable by the starting lever (29) on the pump piston (1), a shut-off lever (33) acts on the starting lever (29) in the direction of a reduced delivery quantity and takes up a corresponding position for determining a starting quantity which is adjustable to below the full-load quantity, and may be pivoted out of engagement from this position with the aid of an adjusting member such as a bellows operable by engine vacuum. The shut-off lever (33) is steplessly variable.
