Summary:The invention relates to a device for separating and feeding sheets on printing machines. The sheets separated from the feeder pile are conveyed in an imbricated formation into a rotating aligning cylinder. The latter aligns the sheets during further conveyance in the cylinder and subsequently transfers them to the cylinders of the printing machine. According to the invention, the object, a device for separating and feeding sheets which allows the sheet separated from the feeder pile to be fed directly to the aligning cylinder, is achieved in that the aligning cylinder is assigned to the separating element located below the feeder pile.
