Summary: | Process for bending a sheet of glass, especially of a motor vehicle glazing, with a bent zone, according to a small radius of curvature. The bending tool employed is a press composed of a female mould (18) and a male mould (12), the female mould consisting of at least two members (29, 30) connected together and articulated. After the bending press has taken hold of a part of the glass sheet (2) heated to the bending temperature, at least one of the articulated members (30, 30') of the mould (18) is bent back against the male mould (12) around the articulation axis. A controllable constant-torque motor (38) is used for controlling the movement of the articulated members whose angular velocity is controlled during the bending process as a function of the temperature of the sheet (2') and of the degree of deformation. …… |
