Summary:The synthesis in flux of KTP and its isotypes of the formula KaRb1-aTiOPbAs1-bO4 comprises: the use of the hydroxides of potassium and rubidium as flux, heating to a temperature of 600 DEG to 800 DEG C. for about 25 to 100 hours with a thermal gradient of 5 DEG to 25 DEG C./cm, the introduction of a seed crystal close to the surface of the solution, followed by the maintenance of the stage temperature or cooling at 1 DEG to 5 DEG C. per hour.
