Summary:Quick-crystallization polyester compositions comprising a mixture consisting of a polyester thermoplastic resin and of 0.1 - 10% by weight of a nucleating agent selected from polymer based alkali metals or of alkaline-earth metal salts, or mixtures of salts of the general formula: M-(OOC-C6H4-COO-CH2CH2CH2CH2 @@@OOC-Z-COOY@@@ABRX) (1) wherein M is an alkali or alkaline-earth metal; Y is a group -CH2CH2-, -(CH2)4- or -CH2CH2OCH2CH2-; Z is a group -C6H4-, or a group -(CH2)q-, q being an integer from 7 to 10; A is an anion selected from carboxylate, sulphonate, sulphinate, phosphonate and phosphinate; B may be a direct bond or a group selected from -CH=CH-, -CH2-, -CH2CH2-; R is an arylene radical containing from 1 to 3 aromatic rings or a heterocyclic ring; X is a hydrogen atom or a group -COOM or -COO(CH2)4OH; m is an integer from 5 to 20; and n is an integer from 0 to 5, preferably from 1 to 3.
